But how is that possible, you may ask? Premium quality linen and the best price? The answer is actually quite simple. As the English say “We cut out the middle man.”

Linen has always been a luxurious and exclusive fabric. But also always more expensive than, say, cotton. Why is linen more expensive than other textiles? The process of producing linen is more labor and time intensive. The machines to spin and weave the linen must be at a lower speed or the fibers will break. Thus, one can produce less linen per day than, say, cotton. So it takes more time and labor, which makes linen more expensive. But then, the result is that linen is much stronger and more durable than other textiles which also means you can enjoy it longer (fun fact: the price per night of linen bedding is lower than other textiles ?).

We buy our linen in Europe and have it made in a small workshop. This is durable European linen, 180 gr/m2. This is a nice quality linen, not too thin and not too heavy. To compare, cheaper providers often have a quality of 100-104.
Our linen is 100% linen, so no mix with cotton. In addition, the bottom and the top are always 100% linen so you also enjoy the fine properties of linen when lying under it.

All our bedding is made from linen with European Flax Fiber and Oeko Tex Standard certification. Honest linen, free of harmful chemicals and pesticides.
So we did not skimp on the quality of our linen bedding!

What did we do? We chose a different business model. We have shortened the process from the spinning, weaving and confection of the bedding to the customer. We left a piece out (Cut out the middle man). We produce the linen bedding and do not sell it through a third party. No, we sell it directly to the person sleeping under the comforter cover. In this way, we make high-quality linen bedding accessible to many people. By taking a link out of the distribution channel, we are able to keep our price low.
