If you want to buy sustainable linen bedding, a label gives you assurance that you are making the right choice. The textile meets all high (sustainability) requirements. Therefore, we choose only linen with the most important certifications. Because we can say that we have beautiful and sustainable linen bedding, but it is much more important that professional parties confirm this through official means with a seal of approval.
What certications does Casa Comodo’s linen bedding have?
Casa Comodo’s linen bedding meets the two most important labels: Oeko-Tex Standard® and European Flax Fiber™. What does this mean? In short, it is 100% linen with its origin in Europe and it is free of harmful chemicals and pesticides.
Linen and Oeko-Tex Standard® label
If a product has an Oeko-Tex Standard 100 label, then every part of the product has been tested for harmful substances. From the thread to the finished product, as well as zippers, buttons and yarn. How can you be sure that a product actually has an Oeko-Tex Standard® label? In our case, with each product you will find a fabric label with a unique number on the inside of the bedding.
Linen and European Flax Fiber™ label.
All of Casa Comodo’s linen products have a European Flax Fiber™ seal of approval. This means, among other things, that the flax from which the linen is made was grown and processed in the Western European countries of France, Belgium and the Netherlands. But it means even more. The flax plant is grown with respect for nature, the seeds are not genetically manipulated and no harmful pesticides are used. In addition, no irrigation is needed; the flax plant has enough rainwater to grow. The mechanical production is human- and animal-friendly and it is zero waste. So really everything from the flax plant is used, even the seed of the flowers.
Linen is a natural product
Linen is pure nature but then of course it has to be treated properly before it is a finished product. With the right certifications, you know it’s right. So you can enjoy all the unique properties of linen bedding to the fullest every night. You fall asleep faster and you sleep better. And that’s so important because a good night’s sleep gives you the energy for the next day.
